Instruction/sacramental preparation for parents is held in the Sacred Heart Chapel every other month – January, March, May, July, September and November. Parents of children to be baptized should contact Denise Schmidt at 215-483-1000 between the hours of 9 am to 4 pm to register and make arrangements. The next date for Pre-Jordan class is to be determined. Pre-Jordan sacramental preparation is required for each child to be baptized at IHM.
To adequately prepare to celebrate the Sacrament of Marriage, Archdiocesan policy requires that couples contact one of the priests of the parish at least 6 months in advance.
IHM offers a one day Pre-Cana Seminar that assists couples in preparation for their upcoming marriage. The Pre-Cana is conducted twice a year (Spring and Fall).The Spring 2020 date, April 4, 2020 is cancelled.

The Parishes of Manayunk and East Falls will present the Pre-Cana Marriage Preparation Program for engaged couples on SATURDAY, MAY 30, 2020 in Holy Family Parish Hall, 234 Hermitage Street. The day begins with registration at 8:30 a.m. and concludes with attendance at the 4:00 p.m. Vigil Mass. Certificates will be distributed after Mass. The day includes continental breakfast and lunch. Cost is $100.00 per couple. To register, please call Holy Family Rectory at 215-482-0450, on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
RCIA – Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
This is the program for those interested in initiation into the Catholic Faith. Information is also available for those who may not have completed the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation). The Sacrament of Reconciliation is offered at 4:00pm on Saturdays.
During Lent, the Sacrament of Reconciliation is offered on Wednesdays from 6:15pm to 7:15pm in the Church.
