To Join Our Parish

Please visit the Rectory and fill out a Pastoral Information Form (click here) to download form. If you live outside our parish boundaries, you must obtain a letter of release from your local parish before joining. Once completed, please email to ihmparish@comcast.net or you may mail it to the Rectory or deliver it in person. Call 215-483-1000 for more information.

Clearances

All volunteers of our IHM School and Church must meet all Safe Environment requirements mandated by the State of Pennsylvania and the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

A list of all requirements are on the school website:iheartmary.org Go to Resources then to Volunteer and all the links are posted there.  These clearances are FREE for volunteers. 

These requirements are MANDATORY and there will be no exceptions.  These must be completed or you may not volunteer  in our school for any trips, dances or in house activities.  Also all extraordinary ministers and lectors and choir members must also have these clearances.

Our Parish Offers Spiritual Materials Located in our Church

An organization called Stewardship: A Mission of Faith provides us with a Display Case containing free books, CD’s and booklets, many created by top Catholic authors and speakers. Any donations are used to spread the program.to other parishes.
IHM Free Lending Library: Over 400 books donated by parishioners are available, covering a wide range of spiritual topics. Pamphlet Rack: Contains pamphlets, prayer cards and sacramental materials donated by parishioners. Donations for these materials stay within the parish.
All of the above resources are located in the room adjacent to the main entrance of the church.

Catholic Social Services Adoption Services Services can help you consider the options for your baby so that you choose the one that is right for you.
We offer free confidential counseling, free referral assistance, extensive home study and background checks on adoptive families, peace of mind knowing your child is placed in a safe home and option to have active participation in the process.

21st Ward Meals on Wheels Inc.

Provides home delivered meals to home-bound individuals in the 21st Ward (Roxborough, Manayunk, Wissahickon and Andorra neighborhoods). Cost is $40 per week. No service or delivery on Saturday and Sunday. Clients must be home-bound and/or unable to cook and/or shop on their own. There are no age restrictions. Meals are delivered daily by volunteers, Monday through Friday, from 11 a.m. to noon.

The Calix Society

The Calix Society Are you currently in a 12-step program? Would you like to be able to freely discuss how your Catholic faith, Christ and His sacraments nourish your recovery? If so, the Calix Society is for you! This group serves to enhance (not replace) 12-step groups with an emphasis upon our journey in Christ. The Social Wellness Foundation

The Social Wellness Foundation is co-sponsoring a community outreach program as part of our “Eat Well work Well” national goodwill campaign. A Volunteer Dr and participating restaurant will provide you staff with a free healthy lunch catered directly to your office. A local volunteer doctor who specializes in nutrition & stress management will come on-site to your company or organization during lunch and deliver a 30-45 minute educational & fun presentation with a complementary catered breakfast or lunch for your employees.

Fuel Assistance Program

State-wide Grant Program Home heating costs continue to have a major impact on monthly budgets. To assist people with these rising costs, the Pennsylvania Home Heating Fuel Assistance Rebate Program (LIHEAP) is now in progress. This is a state-wide program.

This Fuel Assistance Program is available to people of all ages within the income guidelines. For example, individuals with a monthly income under $1,458, or a two-person household with a monthly income under $1,966 qualify for the grant. Call United POLAM Social Services at (215)-923-1900 Monday through Friday between 10 A.M. and 4 P.M. and a staff worker will answer your questions and assist you in completing an application. This grant is provided to all who qualify and does not have to be repaid. All inquiries are strictly confidential.
